3 Tips To Getting Cheap Airline Tickets

Do you fly a lot?  You may fly for many different reasons like business or vacation but whatever the reason you will always have that need to find those dirt cheap airline tickets when you can and in this article I going to show you ways that you can use to your ability to get those cheaper tickets.

Rewards Cards

The first place to look at is airline rewards unsecured credit cards.  However I suggest not using airline specific cards like the Delta Skymiles card but instead something like the Capital One Venture Card which will give you double air miles on all purchases.

The reason I suggest this card is because they have no blackout dates, can be used at any time and you can anywhere you want national or internationally.

The Day You Go

The next thing you need to look at is the day you are actually leaving for your trip because this can play a big advantage in price to you.  In fact Tuesday and Wednesday are usually the cheapest days to fly out.

I recently ran a check on cheaptickets.com and found that if I would fly out on a Tuesday instead of a Saturday that I would save over $50 on each airline ticket.  The same also holds true on return flights as well so instead of leaving for a vacation from Saturday to Saturday it’s  much cheaper to fly out on a Tuesday and return on a Tuesday.

Where You Are Going

Finally, getting cheaper tickets also depends on the destination you are traveling to.  For example, if you are planning to take a vacation to Aruba or anywhere else in the Caribbean tickets will generally be cheaper in the August and September versus going February or March.

However this may not apply to all destination but if the place you are going is a vacation hot spot like Hawaii find out before had when their peak tourist season is before you book that way you are sure to book some cheap airline tickets
