Timeshares are an economical vacation choice where middle class families can enjoy expensive resorts for far less than it would cost to stay at a nice hotel, but they are not for everyone and there are circumstances where people may want to sell their timeshare. old_luggageAnymore, people assume that when someone buys something made from leather it is considered a luxury item. Technically, in most cases, this is true. Certainly there are necessities when traveling apart from an itinerary and open mind for detours. What about luggage? What about [...]

The Jersey Shore’s Seaside Heights

jersey_shore_sunsetAn Ideal Getaway on New Jersey’s Golden Shores.I love beach vacations, but most of my beach vacations have been on the same beach along the shores of Lake Huron.  I’m thinking, it would be interesting to spend time on a different beach.  The Jersey shore as always sounded interesting, just because I’ve seen it in so many movies.  The summer months are a popular time to go on vacation. Eager tourists are looking for the perfect spot that offers relaxation, excitement, and fun for the whole family. [...]

Other Things You Can Buy With Your Air Miles Points

cool_airplane_giftIt used to be in the early days, that the only things you could buy with your frequent flier miles, was more tickets to fly to more places.  Well, that’s all well and cool if your really into traveling.  But if your one of those spends so much time traveling already that the thought of getting on one more airplane will make you go nuts, then it’s a good thing times have changed for you.  There are all kinds of things you can redeem your air miles on now.  There are of course other travel related stuff like rental cars, hotels, and cruises.  But if your a over-traveled traveler, than those probably don’t appeal to you either.  I know, that I didn’t really start using up my travel miles until long after I stopped traveling for business.

But if you think about it, there are so many travel points out there that never get used since most frequent fliers simply don’t have the time to use them.  It makes sense, that the airlines would start offering alternatives for those of us with huge amounts of frequent flyer points.  Before you start thinking about yourself, you should know that there are countless charity programs that you can give your air miles to.  Most large charitable organizations often have to pay to fly staff around all over the place.  So if they can use your travel points to do that, then it means more money for the recipients of the actual charity.  Check with your favorite charity, and see if they accept air miles as donation.  You may even get tax receipts for your donations.

Plus, you can buy stuff for yourself.  A good place to check is with your airlines rewards program.  They have all kinds of gifts, perfumes, fitness equipment, electronics, kitchenware, and other household appliances. You might even find some Sports nutrition supplements like PhD Pharma Blend and Maximuscle Promax Diet for sale.  Most frequent travelers never get enough exercise, so this kind of stuff makes a lot of sense.  I’m a bit of a fitness and electronics geek, so I like to use my points on some of that stuff.  DVD’s, music, and gadgets are just a few of my favorite items.

So, the moral of the story here, is don’t let those points slip away, just because you don’t have time to take another trip.  Get your self, or that special someone a cool gift and use those points.

Get The Flights You Want With Your Air Miles

american_airlineOne of the most popular incentive programs ever conceived by the airline industry, was what is known as air miles, air points, or frequent flyer miles.  Basically, every time you pay for a flight with a particular airline, they give you a number of points which can be redeemed later for future flights.  It sounds like a good deal, especially if you have to do a lot of flying already.  Say for business or work.  The thing about frequent flyer miles, is that they can be extremely frustrating to redeem.  The airlines are pretty strict about only allowing a limited number of seats for air miles redemption, and blacking out specific dates altogether.   Many frequent flyers often just give up in their attempt to redeem air miles, and the points end up being just wasted. [...]
